একদিন রিমালে [One day in Rimal]

তীব্র গরমের মধ্যে হঠাৎ বৃষ্টি যেমন আমাদের ভালো লাগে, ঠিক সেই রকম বৃষ্টির মাত্রা যদি অতিরিক্ত হয়ে যায় সেটাও কিন্তু আমাদের আবার খারাপ লাগে। বৃষ্টির আর বাতাসের হালকা কম্বিনেশন সবারই অনেক রোমান্টিক লাগে, কিন্তু সেটা যদি বাড়তে বাড়তে মাত্রা ছাড়িয়ে যায় তাহলে সেটা আসলে ভয়ের অনুভূতি তৈরি করে। 

এই যেমন কয়েকদিন আগে আমরা রিমাল আতঙ্কে ছিলাম। উপকূলীয় অঞ্চলে সবাই অনেক কষ্টের মধ্যে কয়েকটা দিন কাটিয়েছে।যেদিন রিমাল ঢাকা শহরের উপর থেকে গেল সেদিন আমরা অফিসে এসেছিলাম। অফিসের সামনের বাতাসের যে তান্ডব ছিল সেটা দেখেই রীতিমতো ভয় লাগছিল। সামনের বিল্ডিংয়ের পাশে নারকেল গাছ গুলো মনে হচ্ছিল এখনই ভেঙে পড়বে। ঢাকাতেই এমন ভয়াবহ অবস্থা ছিল না জানি বরিশাল, পটুয়াখালী, মংলা এসব এলাকার মানুষ আরো কত ভয়ংকর দৃশ্য দেখেছে! 

রিমাল চলে যাবা কয়েকদিনের মধ্যেই আবার যে লাউ সে কদু অবস্থা! আবারো গরম বেড়ে গেছে! আসলে ঢাকা শহরে থাকলে গরম থেকে বাঁচার উপায় নাই!

[Just as we like a sudden rain in the midst of intense heat, we also feel bad if the amount of rain is excessive. The light combination of rain and wind sounds very romantic to everyone, but if it goes too far it actually creates a sense of dread. Just like a few days ago we were in a real panic. Everyone in the coastal region spent a few days in great difficulty. 

We arrived at the office on the day Rimal passed over Dhaka city. It was frightening to see the fierceness of the wind in front of the office. The coconut trees next to the front building looked like they were about to collapse. There was such a terrible situation in Dhaka, I know how many more terrible scenes the people of Barisal, Patuakhali, Mongla have seen! 

Rimal will be gone within a few days and the situation is the same as the gourd! The heat has increased again! In fact, there is no way to escape the heat if you live in Dhaka!]

শেষ বিকেলে আফিকের স্কুল [Aafiq's school in the late afternoon]

মাঝেমধ্যে শেষ বিকেলে আমি আফিককে স্কুল থেকে আনতে যাই। ঘড়ির কাঁটা প্রায়ই তখন থাকে সাড়ে চারটা। সূর্যের আলো তার তীব্রতা ততক্ষণে কিছুটা হারিয়ে ফেলে। কিন্তু কেন যেন এখন ঢাকার বাতাসে আর্দ্রতা নেই বললেই চলে, তাই বিকেলের বাতাসেও গা পোড়াতে থাকে। ওদের স্কুলটা বেশ বড়। বড় বললে ভুল হবে অনেক বড়। ঢাকা শহরে এত বড় স্কুল আর আছে কিনা আমার সন্দেহ আছে। কয়েকটা বড় বড় মাঠ আর সবুজ গাছগাছালি ঘেরা ওদের স্কুল, নাম- ঢাকা রেসিডেন্সিয়াল মডেল কলেজ। 

আমি প্রায়ই আফিকের ছুটির আগেই স্কুলে পৌঁছে যাই। গিয়ে দেখি, আমার মত আরও অনেক অভিভাবক তার সন্তানের জন্য অপেক্ষা করছেন। কেউ ক্যান্টিনে বসে আছে, কেউ রাস্তায় হাঁটাহাঁটি করছে, কেউবা অন্য কারো সাথে গল্প গুজব করছেন। আমি প্রায়ই ক্যান্টিনে বসে একটা ফান্টার বোতল নিয়ে খেলার মাঠে ওদের খেলা দেখতে থাকি। ছোট ছোট বাচ্চারা ক্রিকেট খেলছে। গরমের মধ্যে তাদের উদ্দীপনার কিন্তু শেষ নেই! এত গরম, এত ঘাম তারপরও কি আনন্দ! এরকম কিন্তু আমাদেরও হতো! আমি যখন স্কুলে পড়তাম তখনও আমরা এই কি গ্রীষ্ম বা কি বর্ষা, সব সময় খেলতে চাইতাম, খেলতামও!

আমাদের আসলে অনেক বড় বড় মাঠ ছিল, ঠিক এই স্কুলটার মত। সবচেয়ে মিলের যে বিষয়টা সেটা হচ্ছে স্কুল ড্রেস। এই স্কুল এবং আমাদের বরিশাল জিলা স্কুলের স্কুলড্রেস হুবহু একই রকম। ছুটির সময় আফিক যখন তার বন্ধুদের সাথে সাদা শার্ট সাদা প্যান্ট পড়ে হেলতে দুলতে গল্প করতে করতে গেটের দিকে আসে- এ দৃশ্য দেখে আমার অনেক ভালো লাগে! মনে হয় এমন একটা শৈশব আমারও ছিল। ছুটির সময় আফিকের মত সব বাচ্চারাই যখন এক ঝাঁক আনন্দের রাশ মুখে মেখে আনন্দ করতে করতে আমাদের কাছে আসে তখন মন থেকে ওদের জন্য দোয়া চলে আসে- বাবারা, তোমরা অনেক বড় হও! আল্লাহ, তোমাদের হেফাজত করুন। আমীন।

[Sometimes in the late afternoon I go to fetch Aafiq from school. It is often half past four. The sunlight loses some of its intensity by then. But why is it that there is no moisture in the air of Dhaka now, so the afternoon air starts to burn. Their school is quite big. If it is big, it will be a big mistake. I doubt if there is such a big school in Dhaka city. Their school, named Dhaka Residential Model College, is surrounded by several large fields and green trees. 

I often reach school before Aafiq's vacation. Go and see, many more parents like me are waiting for their children. Someone is sitting in the canteen, someone is walking on the street, someone is gossiping with someone else. I often sit in the canteen with a bottle of Fanta and watch them play in the playground. Small children are playing cricket. Their excitement in the heat is not over! It's so hot, so much sweat, but what a joy! Such but we would have! When I was in school, we always wanted to play, whether it was summer or monsoon! We actually had a very big field, just like this school. 

The most common thing is the school dress. The school dress of this school and our Barisal Zilla School is exactly the same. During the holidays, when Aafiq comes to the gate with his friends wearing white shirts and white pants, leaning and talking, I love this scene! I think I had such a childhood. During the holidays, when all the children like Aafiq come to us with a bunch of joy on their faces, prayers for them come from the heart - fathers, you grow up! May Allah protect you. amen]

সারাহ রিসোর্টে আফিকের সারাবেলা [Aafiq's Day out at Sarah Resort]

ঢাকা শহরে অফিস করতে করতে আমার আট বছরের ছেলে আফিক নাকি ভীষণ বোর হয়ে গেছে!

আট বছরের ছেলে কিভাবে অফিস করে!!!

আফিককে এই প্রশ্ন করতে সে খুব বিজ্ঞের মত উত্তর দিলো, শোন বাবা, কোথাও আমার নাম লিখতে গেলে পেশার ঘরে তুমি লিখে দাও ছাত্র। সুতরাং আমি যে স্কুলে যাই, কোচিংয়ে যাই-এটাই আমার চাকুরি! 

যাই হোক। আমাদের বোরিংনেস কাটানোর জন্য আমরা ঈদের জাস্ট পরের দিন গেলাম গাজীপুরের সারাহ রিসোর্টে। 

শুরুতে কিছুটা হতাশ হলাম। এত দামি রিসোর্টে ওয়েলকাম ড্রিংক্সটা কেন জানি ট্যাং ট্যাং মনে হল!

আফিক ভিতরে ঘুরে ঘুরে দেখা শুরু করল আর ভিডিও ব্লগিং করা শুরু করল। 

তবে ওদের কাস্টমার রিলেশনশিপে আরও উন্নতি করতে হবে। তারা অতি মাত্রায় প্রফেশনাল!!! যদিও আমরা চেক ইন টাইমের কিছুটা সময় আগেই পৌঁছেছিলাম কিন্তু তারা আমাদের জাস্ট দুপুর দুইটার (কাগুজে চেক ইন টাইম!) এক মিনিট আগেও রুম দিল না! এমনকি চেক ইনের আগে ভেজি (ভিতরে চলা ছোট গাড়ি) ব্যবহারও করেতে দিল না!! 

দাম তুলনায় বাচ্চাদের খেলার জায়গা আরও ভাল হওয়া উচিত ছিল। 

তবুও আফিক আর জায়ান (আমার বোনের ছেলে) খোলা জায়গাতে অনেক ছোটাছুটি করল। চৈত্রের গরমে হাটাহাটি করে  আমরা সবাই হাপিয়ে উঠলাম। সবাই মিলে অরেঞ্জ জুস খাবো বলে অর্ডার করলাম। কিন্তু দশ মিনিট যায়, পনেরো মিনিট যায়, জুস তো আর আসে না। আফিক বিরক্ত হয়ে বলল, কমলা মনে হয় সিলেট থেকে রওয়ানা দিছে তাই এত সময় লাগবে!

টানা পঞ্চাশ মিনিট  আমরা ধৈর্যের পরীক্ষা দিয়ে পাস করলাম! কিন্তু জুসের দাম দেখে মনে হল, জীবনের কিছু কিছু পরীক্ষায় পাশের চাইতে ফেল করা ভাল!!!

সবাই মিলে গোল হয়ে বসে আড্ডা দেবার জন্য জায়গাটা খারাপ না। বিকেলের বাতাসে লেকের পানিতে নৌকা ভ্রমণটা ছিল সত্যি আনন্দদায়ক। তবে ১৬ ফিট পানি শুনে আফিক বেশ টেনশনে ছিল। তবুও সে তার মাকে দিয়ে তার ইউটিউব ভিডিও শুট করে নিচ্ছিল। আসলে ছবি তোলার জন্য এক আদর্শ জায়গা এটা। 

আসলে মানুষের জীবনে টাকার চিন্তা কম করে সুন্দর স্মৃতি তৈরি করা বেশি জরুরি। আর আমরা এখানে সেটাই করলাম।

Aafiq asked this question and he answered very wisely, listen father, if you want to write my name somewhere, you should write student in the profession room. So I go to school, go to coaching - this is my profession!

whatever to kill our boringness, we went to Sarah Resort in Gazipur just the day after Eid.

I was a bit disappointed at first. I know why the welcome drink in such an expensive resort felt like Tang Tang!

Aafiq wandered around and started video blogging.

However, they need to improve their customer relations. They are extremely professional!!! Although we arrived a little before the check in time, they didn't give us a room even a minute before 2pm (check in time in paper!)! Not even allowed to use veggies before check in!!

Children's play area should have been better for the price.

Still Aafiq and Zayan (my sister's son) ran around in the open. We were all panting in the heat of Chaitra. I ordered orange juice together. But ten minutes pass, fifteen minutes pass, the juice doesn't come anymore. Aafiq said annoyed, Orange seems to have left from Sylhet so it will take so long!

We passed the endurance test for fifty minutes! But looking at the price of juice, it seems that it is better to fail than to pass some tests in life!!!

It's not a bad place to hang out. The boat ride on the lake water in the afternoon breeze was really enjoyable. However, after hearing 16 feet of water, Aafiq was quite tensed. Still, he was filming his YouTube videos with his mom. In fact, it is an ideal place for photography.

In fact, it is more important to create beautiful memories by reducing money worries in people's lives. And that's what we did here.]
